Teachers in Utah and Nevada Surprised with $25,000 Milken Educator Awards
Two Southern California Educators Surprised with $25,000 Awards
October 23, 2002 - Two more outstanding educators -- Jennifer Yoo (pictured) of Canoga Park, California, and Jane Ching Fung of Los Angeles -- were surprised Wednesday with $25,000 Milken Family Foundation National Educator Awards.  The Foundation is surprising 100 exemplary educators in 46 states during its annual National Notifications.


Teachers in Utah and Nevada Surprised with $25,000 Milken Educator Awards
October 17, 2002 - Linda Morgan of Salt Lake City and Bonnie Murray of Las Vegas were surprised Wednesday with $25,000 Milken Educator Awards.  Milken Family Foundation Chairman Lowell Milken announced their names as recipients at schoolwide assemblies.  Ms. Morgan and Ms. Murray are among 100 outstanding educators in 46 states to be surprised with the Milken Educator Award this month during the Foundation's annual National Notifications.


Three More Educators Surprised with $25,000 in Indiana and Illinois
October 16, 2002 - Indianapolis teacher MiSang Han and two teachers from the Chicago area – Rosa Covarrubias and Susan Bolek – were surprised with $25,000 Milken Educator Awards Tuesday.  They are among 100 outstanding educators in 46 states to receive the Award during the Milken Family Foundation's annual National Notifications.


Surprise $25,000 Awards Presented in Michigan and Ohio
October 15, 2002 - Detroit-area teachers Stacie Smith and Jennifer Murphy, and James Eslinger of Columbus, Ohio, were the latest to be surprised with $25,000 Milken Family Foundation National Educator Awards by Foundation Chairman Lowell Milken during National Notifications.  One hundred outstanding educators in 46 states are being honored with the prestigious Award this month.


Week One of Notifications Ends with Surprise Awards in New Jersey
October 14, 2002 - Two days after presenting the first-ever Milken National Educator Awards in New Jersey, Milken Family Foundation Chairman Lowell returned to the Garden State Friday to surprise two more teachers – Theresa Licitra and April Lowe – with $25,000 Awards.  The Foundation is surprising 100 outstanding educators with the Award this month in 46 states during its annual National Notifications.

October 11, 2002 - Subrina Parker of Cape Charles, Doreatha White of Norfolk and George Weiner of Burke became the latest among 100 outstanding educators in 46 states being surprised this month with $25,000 Milken Educator Awards during the Milken Family Foundation's National Notifications.


Foundation Presents First-Ever Milken Educator Awards in New Jersey
October 10, 2002 - For the first time ever, outstanding educators in New Jersey were surprised with $25,000 Milken Educators:  teacher James Aquavia of Montclair and principal Stephen Liddawi of Elizabeth.  They were the latest among 100 of the nation's finest educators being surprised this month during the Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award program's National Notifications.


Two Educators Surprised with First-Ever Awards in South Dakota
October 9, 2002 - Kari Jungclaus of Rapid City and Karen Lukens of Sioux Falls became the first two educators in South Dakota ever to receive a $25,000 Milken Educator Award. They were surprised with the news of their Award by Milken Family Foundation Chairman Lowell Milken.


Surprise Award to Sacramento Principal Kicks Off National Notifications
October 8, 2002 - Foundation Chairman Lowell Milken surprised Sacramento principal Don Ogden Monday morning with a $25,000 Milken Educator Award, kicking off National Notifications.  During the next two weeks, 100 outstanding educators in 46 states will be surprised with the Award.
