Biographical Information:
As principal of Heath Brook Elementary School in Tewksbury, Kevin McArdle has brought parents and the community closer to the school and its activities. The Literacy Night program he developed allows parents to view the students' writing projects. He also created a science fair, a social studies expo and Math Mania Night to give students an opportunity to show parents and community members what they have learned in those subject areas. In addition, Mr. McArdle has developed a full-day kindergarten program for special-needs children. Under Mr. McArdle's leadership, Heath Brook students have improved their scores on the Massachusetts Education Assessment Program test by an average of 100 points.
