2017 Milken Scholars SummitPhoto 41 of 42
At the Los Angeles Milken Scholars dinner, Evelyn Wong (MS '17) told the audience that music and science have always gone together in her mind, starting at four years old when her parents lost track of her at Costco and found her playing one of the pianos on display. "When we adopt a different lens, the world presents itself in a new light—like cancer cells becoming Jackson Pollock paintings where a horrendous mass used to be," she sais. "I believe in the intersection of science and art as a means of making our world a better place." Evelyn will study human development and regenerative biology at Harvard.
