Milken Institute School of Public Health Ribbon CuttingPhoto 2 of 8
Ribbons representing areas of study adorn the new building. Designed with a multitude of environmentally sustainable features, GW University is aiming for a "platinum" rating under the LEED Green Building Rating System. These features include the use of local and recycled building materials, a green roof, a rainwater collection system, low-flow plumbing and energy-saving light controls.
As a school focused on public health, the building's design and technology aren't the only areas implementing the latest best practices. It also has an exercise and yoga studio, bike racks and standing desks for the entire faculty.
