Milken Archive: "I Will Not Remain Silent"
Feb 05, 2021

Bruce Adolphe discusses the origins and development of his violin concerto, “I Will Not Remain Silent.” The 22-minute concerto is based on the life of Joachim Prinz, a 20th-century rabbi and activist who spoke out against the rise of antisemitism in Germany in the 1920s and 30s and became a prominent voice of the Civil Rights Movement in the U.S. Includes performance footage featuring conductor Michael Stern and violinist Sharon Roffman with Iris Orchestra.
